The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 2 has finally been announced, and fans have been buzzing about it. What is The Rising of the Shield Hero about?
The show is about Noafumi Iwatani, a chilled Japanese young adult. He is abruptly summoned into a parallel universe to become part of the Cardinal Heroes, along with three other men. Their job is to fight monsters called Waves that are interdimensional and can cause chaos.
Naofumi doesn’t have the best luck, and a companion of his, who is later revealed to be a Princess, betrays him. She steals all of his belongings and then falses accuse him of sexual assault, which leaves him an outcast.
So, we get to follow Noafumi’s journey to becoming a hero, all while he has been shunned by nobility and peasants alike. He must now train alone and even has to work to make ends meet. However, his fortunes turn around when he buys a demi-human named Raphtalia and an egg, which later becomes a flying monster called Filo. The unlikely group gains each other’s trust and train as warriors to complete their mission to save the world from the Waves’ threat.

The Cast of Shield Hero Season 2
There aren’t any significant cast changes for The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 2, which has left many fans delighted. Voice actor changes during seasons can be relatively jarring and ruin the experience.
With any hit anime show dubbed in English, the main stars are voiced by two actors with various fill-ins for other roles. So we will see Kaito Ishikawa and Billy Kametz return for Naofumi Iwatani, Asami Seto and Erica Mendez reprise their role as Raphtalia, and Rina Hidaka plays the voice of Filo.
