Seven Deadly Sins Season 4 Animation
For those who binged the previous series, you may have noticed a considerable decline in the animation quality. Many fight scenes lack the aesthetics seen in the last few installments, which leaves a lot to be desired.
The show still uses Manga style animation. However, the standards have, without a doubt, dropped. There were some behind the scenes decisions which have affected the show. The studio in charge of animation has been changed. It was previously A-1 Pictures, but they have been cast aside because of the lackluster performance of the movie Seven Deadly Sins: Prisoners of the Sky. The film struggled to make money the domestic Japanese film market, grossing around $5 million, but was generally well-received by hardcore fans.
Studio Deen has taken the reigns since season 3, and the results have been disappointing, to say the least. In fact, a petition was even started to get the animation redone by a different studio. According to sources, Studio Deen is outsourcing a lot of the work, resulting in lower quality. Regardless, the storyline and characters are still epic, and it’s an adventure nonetheless.
